Coffee break

Hi Everyone!

Have you ever had that feeling that when you wake up in the morning and everything spins around? Well, this morning is for me like that. I had a great night out and I didn’t stay long, but still, I’m tired and really need a good coffee.

I often go for a Latte Macchiato with a shot of hazelnut at the Coffee Company, which is a huge café chain in Amsterdam.

A good coffee is sometimes all I need for a good start of my day 🙂

What do you guys order?

Have a great weekend!

Love,

Karin

Food food food

Hi Everyone!

You may know that I love food! I post a lot of pictures of food on Instagram or on this blog. I like to try every kind of kitchen. My favorites are Asian cuisine, Italian and Mexican.
What you never going to see is me eating french fries or order a big big Mac at the McDonalds. I hate fastfood and I don’t eat red meat.
So, that said, here are some pictures of my recent restaurant visits.
Enjoy! 🙂

Turn on the lights Amsterdam!

Hi Everyone!

The month November isn’t over, and it already has been so fun for me.
I went to a side-event of the EMA Awards, been travelling and yesterday there was a lightshow at the Damsquare in Amsterdam.
Every year the warehouse ‘ Bijenkorf ‘ organise a lightshow as a gift for the city Amsterdam.
I went to the lightshow with a friend of mine. It was absolutely amazing! There were big giant dolls in the air and the music was beautiful. It was all instrumental and French style.
The show ended with fireworks in front of the Bijenkorf.
The party continued in the Bijenkorf with champagne and macarons.
Have you heard about this, guys?

Next year I’m going to be there as well!

Love,

Karin

Munich:Cold and dark

Hi everyone!

I forgot to tell you this, but two weeks ago I went to visit some friends of mine in Munich. I stayed there for 3 days. It was the second time for me in Munich. I’m going to be honest… I think Munich is boring. There wasn’t a lot going on and just the energy of the city gave me a weird feeling. If it wasn’t for my friends, I would never go to Munich for fun. They say Munich is fun in the Oktoberfest season.
Well , I don’t know. Cause I’m not planning to go to Munich soon.

Love, Karin

Cologne, Cologne

Hi everyone!

Today, I’m in Cologne for a one day citytrip. I always love these short trips to lovely cities.
The Dom is still in renovation. Poor thing… I remember when I was 8 years old, the first time I went to Cologne, the renovation was already a several years in process. And in this 10 year time, it hasn’t made any process what so ever.

Have you guys been to Cologne before?
And what do you guys think about the Dom?

EMA, Breaking Bad and Swizz Beatz

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post.
The past few days were amazing for me!
As you guys know, the EMA Awards is this year hold in Amsterdam, the capitol of the Netherlands. The days before the show, there are a lot of events going on, like MTV voices. This event gives you an inside of MTV behind the scenes. Several people like the producers of MTV, VJ’s, actors and musicians are talking about how to achieve your goal, sneak preview about the shows of MTV, how to be a good presenter and how to become succesfull.
On Thursday I went to two readings. The first reading was by Steve Regan, the executive producer from MTV UK. He is the man behind ‘The Valleys’, ‘Geordie Shore’, and many many more.
He told us about how he comes up with an idea for a programma, how to be in this media industry and how he loves his job. Very sincere, lovely man who was really inspiring as well.

The second reading was more of a workshop. The photography gallery/museum ‘Foam’ in Amsterdam gave us a workshop: ‘Photo snapping’. How to get a good picture.
Well, I really like taking photos and love posting them as well on Instagram or Facebook. I know that the photos aren’t the best or the most artistic, but what I capture in the photos are always the things I really like. So, why not follow a workshop that helps me with taking good photos so I can make better photos to entertain you guys with.
The workshop was really interesting and it helped me to look to things in a very different perspective and taking photos differently, fron another angle.

On Friday I had one reading. This one was with the amazing and talented actor RJ Mitte from ‘Breaking Bad’. I have to admit… I never saw an episode of ‘Breaking Bad’, but after his talk about the show, about himself, it really maked me curious about the show. So, I’m going to watch all the series 🙂
RJ Mitte was a really nice, shy guy who was so lovely. I really liked this guy, allthough I didn’t know him before.
RJ told us about the process of getting the role in the serie ‘Breaking Bad’, his live as an actor, learning process about this industry. I thought it was a really good and funny talk from him.
After his talk, I asked him if I may take a picture with him 🙂 it took me a while, but I did it!

As if it couldn’t get better, I’m going to a special concert by the Imagine Dragons in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam during the EMA Award Show, tomorrow November 10th. I’m really excited how the shows going to be.

I’ll keep you updated.
